The J850 Prime offers the most extensive options when it comes to multi-material 3D printing. Up to 7 different base materials (in addition to soluble support material) are combined at once. This allows the engineer to print countless colors (including 1,900 Pantone colors), ultra-transparent materials but also flexible materials (with a wide variation in Shore A values) just as easily as strong, temperature-resistant plastics for functional testing of prototypes.

The J850 allows product designers to interact with realistic prototypes, allowing them to complete design iterations up to five times faster at a significantly lower cost than traditional prototyping. In addition to shorter time to market, this above all offers more certainty about the acceptance of a new product.
