D2 Tool Steel – Wear Resistant, Hard and Reliable
D2 is a high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel that excels in wear resistance, hardness and dimensional stability. The increased chromium content provides moderate corrosion resistance, while the high carbide concentration provides excellent durability in contact with metals and abrasive materials.
Thanks to the perfect balance between wear resistance and toughness, D2 is widely used in rolling, punching, blanking, forming and trimming dies, as well as shears and similar tools.
