Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber
Of all FDM materials, Nylon 12CF has the highest specific modulus, and given the unique directional orientation of the material's carbon fibers, it contains anisotropic properties that allow it to be used in a similar manner to a composite laminate. This ultimately gives the parts produced with this FDM material a higher uniaxial stiffness compared to injection molded parts.
Reinforced carbon
Nylon 12CF combines nylon 12 and chopped carbon fiber to achieve the highest flexural strength and stiffness-to-weight ratio of any FDM material. Nylon 12CF provides a cleaner carbon-fiber additive process than SLA with equivalent strength properties.
Lightweight - strength
Nylon 12CF provides the strength and stiffness to replace metal in certain applications. Replace heavy metal tools with lighter, ergonomic carbon fiber tools. Validate designs faster with functional carbon fiber prototypes instead of expensive and time-consuming metal prototypes.
