The Stratasys F870 is a large-format FDM platform for production tooling: molds, jigs, fixtures and end-of-arm tooling, in-house and on demand.

It combines the longest fully heated build chamber on the market with three new N-style print heads and material capacity that supports up to two weeks of continuous unattended printing.

Build volume and chamber

Build volume is 1000 × 610 × 610 mm (diagonal up to 1171 mm). The fully heated chamber runs at 95 °C — critical for dimensional accuracy on large parts, especially Nylon 12CF.

Print heads and materials

Three print heads cover all tooling needs:

  • N14 - ASA (colors) and ABS-M30, layers 0.178 / 0.254 / 0.330 mm
  • N20H - hardened for Nylon 12CF, 0.25 mm
  • N25 - high-speed ASA up to 2× throughput, 0.33 mm

Nine materials at launch, including Nylon 12CF, ASA in multiple colors, ABS-M30 and supports. ABS Draft Gray is coming Q3 2026. Four 4100 cm³ spools with automatic changeover are shared with the F3300 platform. A regenerative drying system keeps filament dry on the factory floor.

Versus the F770

Compared with the F770, the F870 adds material drying, autochangeover, Nylon 12CF, the new print heads and larger spools.

System size: 175 × 124 × 196 cm, 817 kg.

Software: GrabCAD Print and Insight; MTConnect for shop-floor integration.
